Just like this issue from December An error occurred while updating .....: Download failed. Forbidden the only way to update is to do it manually or to remove the api key for metheg specific plugin on the mainwp site.
Thanks, the issue is currently being worked on and listed in the Roadmap under New API for Extension Installations and Updates - MainWP we hope to tested and released in about two weeks.
