Feature Request: Add Option to Keep Code Snippets if MainWP Child is Deactivated/Uninstalled

I’ve switched over to using the MainWP Code Snippets extension for the majority of my snippets but many of them would be layout/functionality breaking for client sites if MainWP Child is deactivated. Many of these are snippets I use on every site and it’s very convenient to only have to update the snippet in one place but if a client decides to go their own way I have to go manually add the snippets to their site and disable them in MainWP.

Would it be possible to add an option to retain code snippets upon deactivation/uninstall of MainWP Child?

Hey @CURA

Welcome to the MainWP community!

Right now, this is not possible, considering the MainWP Child plugin needs to be installed and active for the snippets to be loaded on the child site.

But please feel free to make a suggestion about this on our feedback site. That way, others can vote for it, letting us know which features our users want the most. https://feedback.mainwp.com

There are a few links with related information.

  1. Ideas to improve the Code Snippets extension:

  1. Snippets can also be added to a custom plugin, that can be installed to a child site (and being kept after disabling MainWP. I’ve used this for a couple of small snippets that I place on every site as a mu-plugin (must use plugin) using the File Uploader extension.
