Site preview image shows up, but placeholder is too big

The preview image on a single site dashboard is introduced in this version, but the placeholder that the preview is being generated is too big causing a strange layout:

Where can I disable this preview? I don’t need/want it. Before I disabled it because loading all the previews when using 300+ sites is not really fast.

Can that preview image be removed as well? Hiding it by CSS doesn’t prevent it to execute I guess.
