Anytime I attempt to update plugins, the window pops up, but the status never goes past 0%. It doesn’t matter if the update completes or fails. I have to manually close the window and go to the site to be sure that maintenance mode is still not on.

We couldn’t reproduce this issue on our test Dashboards.
Are you getting this issue only on particular child sites or on all of them?
Can you try temporarily disabling all plugins on the Dashboard site except for the MainWP Dashboard plugin and see if that helps?
I tried this and got the same result. I have also tried with different browsers to see if that was an issue, also with the same result.

Can you try setting these values on the Settings > Advanced Settings page and see if it helps?
With them, the update and sync process will be slower but may prove to be more stable. If it does resolve the issue, you can try increasing them a bit closer to the default values to speed up the process.
I tried the above changes, and yes, it ran slower, but the progress bar never moved past 0%.
Even when updating one plugin on one site, the wheel spins, but never stops when it is finished.
Again, updates work (or not work as they sometimes do), but I am never told when they are finished.
@ljanders0n The only other issue I can see that stands out with your System report is the SSL error.
Would you mind opening a private Help Desk ticket so we can collect some additional information & investigate further?
If you provide us with a Temporary Admin account for the email address ([email protected]) along with one Child Site that we have permission to connect to & Roll back one plugin & test updating - we will be able to connect and check this out further.
