I am evaluating the WPTC plugin for backups with a trial account and installed it on two sites that are connected to my MainWP dashboard – except after I hit the sync sites button, those two sites get disconnected. Adding Time Capsule is the only variable that has changed with the sites.
I added Time Capsule to each site, signed in, and got it synced to S3 storage before syncing with MainWP. I tried signing out of my WPTC account on one of the child sites, and re-adding it to the dashboard, but the next time I hit “sync sites” it disconnected again. When I hit reconnect, I get a “Public key already set. Please deactivate & reactivate the MainWP Child plugin on the child site and try again.” notice.
I would love to use this feature as I have been having trouble finding a way to run reliable offsite backups via MainWP, which is a crucial feature for my needs. My clients are often on different hosting set ups, one of the offending sites is on GoDaddy, the other is on SiteGround. I have made sure to Whitelist the IP addresses for the necessary services.
