I got a “Should be Improved” alert from MainWP, and this is one of the two issues it found. How do I update the PHP?

PHP is the programming language used to build and maintain WordPress. Newer versions of PHP are created with increased performance in mind, so you may see a positive effect on your site’s performance. The minimum recommended version of PHP is 7.4.

Hi Fred,

I am not sure if you have this ability in your hosting control panel, but if not, you can always reach out to your host support department and have them update it for you.
